Sino-U.S. Oil Spill & Eemergency Response Management Seminar & Expo was held in Qingdao on June 5-7, 2013. More than 280 delegates from the Ministry of Transport of the PRC, the United States Trade and Development Agency, the United States Department of Transportation, United States Coast Guard, China MSA, port and shipping enterprises and other institutions were present at the conference.
The practices and experiences regarding the maritime salvage, clean-up and emergency response in the Gulf of Mexico Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill Incident, the Bohai Bay Penglai 19-3 Oil Spill Incident, Dalian Xingang 7.16 Oil Spill Incident were shared and warmly discussed at the meeting. The purpose of the conference was to strengthen the cooperation and exchange on the transportation security and emergency management, to jointly share the advanced experiences and new technologies, to deepen the communication and understanding between the government and enterprises and to finally improve the ability to respond to the emergencies at sea.
