M.V. "Yin Chu" sank near the dock in Huangpu River, Shanghai on Dec. 2nd, 2006. Shanghai Salvage Bureau shouldered the salvage program which is now in progress approaching to a final success. Whereas the salvage expenses are beyond the ship owner's compensation capability, the Shanghai Municipal Government would recover the balance. At the request of Shanghai Municipal Government, East Sea Rescue Bureau is authorized to host an Expert Evaluation Meeting on the expenses of the salvage operation.
Invited by East Sea Rescue Bureau, the salvage operation expert of CMS, Mr. Zhao Chongzhi, and Kuang Shilin, Zhang Jian, Amber Wang attended the meeting held on Feb. 6th, 2007. Other 7 experts were from Shanghai MSA and East Sea Rescue Burea. A position paper will be handed to the Municipal Government.
