The 5th China International Rescue & Salvage Conference, which is organized by China Rescue & Salvage (CRS) and China Rescue & Salvage Association (CRSA), was held in Dalian, China during Sept.16-17, 2008. The conference is the most important event in the field of rescue, salvage and commercial diving in china and the main purpose of this Conference is to promote the cooperation and technology exchange among the industries of the world. The guests attended were also welcomed to the 2008 Air-sea Rescue Exercise in Bohai.
LOF Centenary Celebration was held before the Conference on Sept.15, 2008 at the same place—Dalian Lobby of Sweetland Hotel. For the past 100 years, the Lloyd’s Open Form played an important role to the development of the ship industry. Almost 200 guests, including some experts and officers who made great progress in the ship, insurance, law and rescue & salvage fields, attended the celebration. Vice minister of MOC Feng Zhenglin, ISU vice president Peter Lee, ISU legal advisor Archie Bishop, vice chairman of CIETAC and CMAC Yu Jianlong and some other guests addressed before the dinner reception.
