A special workshop on the handbook of oil pollution damage compensation was held in CCS Mansion Beijing, on Monday, October 27, 2008. The handbook was compiled by CMS with an effort by all staff in CMS for about one year. It aims at helping parties related in the claims of oil pollution accidents to understand the current profile of law application and practices in China. Meanwhile, CMS hopes it could share its rich experiences on the oil pollution claim handling with its potential clients. Several experts from University, MSA, Maritime Courts, CCS and MOC institute, as the assessors of this handbook, attended the workshop. All of these experts affirmed the significance and the value of the handbook, and made their valuable suggestions to improve the quality of it.
