Mr. Chen Keyu attended the first China Oil Transportation Safety Forum on July 20th-21st, 2010.
The 1st China Oil Transportation Safety Forum (COTSF) was held in CCS mansion at Beijing on July 20-21, 2010. Mr. Chen Keyu, GM of CMS, was invited to attend the forum.
Mr. Li Kejun, the president of China Classification Society (CCS) and Mr. Xu Zuyuan, the vice-minister of China Transportation Ministry attended the opening ceremony and chaired the forum.
The attendees were invited from all concerned companies and authorities in petroleum industry including Ministry of Transportation, Energy Bureau of National Development & Reform Commission, Ministry of Industry & Information Technology, State Council Legislation Department, Maritime Safety Administration, CCS, OCIMF, INTERTANKO, BP shipping Ltd., SIETCO, China Petrochemical Corporation, COSCO Group China, China Shipping Development Co., Ltd. Tanker Co., Nanjing Tanker Corporation, China LNG Shipping Ltd., UK P&I Club, China Shipowners Mutual Assurance Association, China shipbuilding Industry Corporation , Association of National Shipbuilding Industry, and so on.
Under the theme as “Environmental Protection, Safety and Efficiency”, forum had been divided into 4 thematic seminars for studies hereinafter:
1. Safety policies, rules and standards of oil transportation.
2. The best management practice of oil majors for safety and P&I insurance policy
3. Safety of tanker construction and operation
4. Technical exchange and discussions
Legal director PHD Wu Chao from UK P&I club also gave a presentation “Tank Safety and P&I Insurance” highlighting P&I club influence in tank shipping on above 2nd thematic seminar.
