The Regulations of the People’s Republic of China on the Emergency Prevention and Disposal of Marine Pollution from Ships has been released on March 1, 2011, and shall enter into force on June 1, 2011 in China.
The main contents stipulated in the Regulation include Emergency Prevention, Oil Spill Response Organization (OSRO) management, Conclusion of Ship Pollution Cleanup Agreement, Emergency Disposal Procedure, the Legal Liabilities when ships or their contractors violate the Regulations and so on.
