The Judicial Interpretation of the Supreme Court on the Compensation Dispute Cases about Oil Pollution Damage from Ships has come into force on 1st July, 2011. This judicial interpretation mainly stipulates the contents, such as the scope of application, jurisdiction, oil pollution liability, the scope of compensation and loss identification, maritime lien, Limitation of Liability for oil pollution claims, the claim registration and payment, and the subrogation for oil pollution claims etc.
