An IG delegation visited CMS Beijing office on March. 8, 2013 for having an in-deep discussion with CMS for new updates of SPRO system working. Amber Wang from CMS made a presentation focusing on following points: 1) the latest implementation status of the regulation after the publication of new detailed rules by China MSA; 2) some potential risk which P& I Clubs may face to; 3) how to handle the dispute after a spill response; 4) Chinese domestic fund. Ms. Shan Hong and Ms. He Miao from Huatai were also invited to deliver a speech on the meeting. IG appreciated the two companies’ contribution to assist ship owners and was keen to be informed with new development timely.
